Bids have been submitted for the EPC contract. Local National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC) is understood to be the lowest bidder. 

This project is in Abu Dhabi. The development will replace an existing 42-inch pipeline linking the offshore Zadco cluster of production platforms with processing, storage and export facilities at Zirku Island. The client is in the process of inviting at least six international firms to bid for the EPC contract. It has asked firms to submit technical bids detailing planned engineering work by June 22, 2009, with commercial bids outlining cost structures to follow in September 2009. Among the firms invited to bid for the EPC contract include local National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC), J Ray McDermott; India's Larsen & Toubro, Punj Lloyd; Italy's Saipem; and US' Global Industries

Local Alumco, a specialised aluminium facade contractor, has been awarded a major contract worth $34 million on this scheme. Under the terms of contract, Alumco will supply 35,000 square metres of unitised curtain wall, 25,000 stick system for balconies, 2,000 LM of slat systems acting as sun breakers for the office building, 3,600 square metres of corrugated sheet at the spandrel area, 9,000 LM of Architectural Aluminium lover that will act as a sun breaker for the residential building, and 11,000 LM of glass balustrade.

This project will be developed in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). It will cover a total built-up area of about 285,000 square metres, surrounded by gardens and water features. The main contract will cover the two superstructures, finishing and parking facilities. US-based Perkins & Will is the architect and design consultant on this project and is expected to complete detailed designs soon.
