Updated On : July 26, 2009 Bids have been submitted for the EPC contract. Local National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC) is understood to be the lowest bidder. This project is in Abu Dhabi. The development will replace an existing 42-inch pipeline linking the offshore Zadco cluster of production platforms with processing, storage and export facilities at Zirku Island. The client is in the process of inviting at least six international firms to bid for the EPC contract. It has asked firms to submit technical bids detailing planned engineering work by June 22, 2009, with commercial bids outlining cost structures to follow in September 2009. Among the firms invited to bid for the EPC contract include local National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC), J Ray McDermott; India's Larsen & Toubro, Punj Lloyd; Italy's Saipem; and US' Global Industries.
